I'm a husband, father, surfer, and boat captain. I started surfing in Santa Barbara, California many, many years ago. After college, I moved to the North Shore of Oahu and opened a legendary breakfast spot called Kono's in Haleiwa. For 14 years we we're at the center of the surfing universe, the biggest contests, the biggest pros, and the most incredible environment to run a business. It was an absolute dream.
I ended up selling that business and pursuing other opportunities, but the one constant is always surfing.
These days, there's definitely a lot more aches and pains, but the stoke is still real, especially when you get to surf with your kids.
